Founded in 1919 by the Soldati family, celebrating 105 years of winemaking (1919-2024). Now in 5th generation of family ownership. Founded the Tutela del Gavi consortium in 1993 to protect and promote Gavi di Gavi wine reputation. Pioneered modern white wine production – launched revolutionary “Gavi dei Gavi Etichetta Nera” in 1966 under Vittorio Soldati. Credited with inventing Gavi wine from Cortese grape in the 1950s, establishing it as a classic. Present in over 60 countries worldwide.
Estates: Approximately 50 hectares of vineyards (200 km of vine rows) in Rovereto district, considered the “Grand Cru” of Cortese grape. Vine density approximately 4,500 vines per hectare. Pioneered temperature-controlled vinification in stainless steel to preserve subtle fruit of Cortese grape. Focus on excellence through continuous vineyard and cellar investments; wines reflect terroir, minerality, and balance. Known for distinctive floral labels on wine bottles.
