Founded September 23, 1951, when 83 pioneers established “Cantina Sociale Cooperativa di Gavi” in Gavi’s town hall, the first cooperative in Terre del Gavi. In 1974, became “Cantina Produttori del Gavi” when Gavi received DOC recognition. Started with stone pressing and less than 3,000 quintals of grapes per year in Palazzo Moro cellars. 1962 – built new modern facility in Maddalena; 2006-2008 – invested over 3 million euros in production technology. One of the most important wineries in Gavi; cooperative of 80 winegrower members. Key role in Gavi’s elevation from DOC (1974) to DOCG (1998); founding member of Consorzio di Tutela del Gavi (1993).
